Boilerplate
Geography is a premium iOS app that teaches you the world one country at a time. Each session is eight short, hand-written "lenses" (one country plus a single insight), self-assessed and scheduled by a spaced-repetition engine. No quizzes. No streaks. No AI-generated copy. Five minutes a day.
Geography is made by SupportU LLC, a small, independent team based in the USA. It is the team's only product. The app launched in May 2025 on iOS 17 and above.

Quotes you may use
"I made Geography because I was tired of finishing a podcast and remembering nothing. I wanted something quieter, something that respected the fact I'd already spent eleven hours staring at screens."
Team Geography
"We have no investors, no growth team, and no plans for a streak feature. Our simple subscription model exists for one reason: to keep the writers writing. That's the whole business."
Team Geography
"The map isn't a leaderboard. It's a record of attention."

Geography is written with a capital G and a lowercase rest. The wordmark is "Geography" in Newsreader Light, 24px, with "world literacy" set in DM Sans 13px below it, both light weight. Brand green: #2EB450. Primary ink: #0E1117. Type pairing: Newsreader (serif) + DM Sans (sans).
Please don't recolor the icon, add a drop shadow, or write the name in all caps. If you need a wordmark file for print, ask and we'll send a vector.
The story
The first lens written for Geography was about Taiwan. The founder was reading a long-form piece about TSMC, realized she didn't know whether Taipei was on the east or west coast of the island, and felt the small embarrassment of someone who consumes a lot of news without it adding up to a sense of the world. Geography is a five-minute correction.
Editorially, the rule is: every lens earns its place, or it doesn't ship. Roughly one in four pitched lenses are rewritten or killed. Editors include working journalists, a former diplomat, two travel writers, and a historian of Southeast Asia. None of the writing is generated.
